Every day is a gift to be acknowledged and enjoyed. I will try to keep today’s art news brief as we are all beginning to feel the accelerated pace of life leading up to the holidays.
AIM Gallery is kicking off their next show, ‘Great Art Small Prices’, with an opening reception Saturday, November 3rd, 2-4pm. What’s special about this exhibit is that all of the art for sale is under $500. Great gifting possibilities until December 31st. I have 3 paintings in this show and will be at the reception tomorrow. Open to the public. AIM is located at 102 W. Washington St., Middleburg.

‘Vineyard Views @868’ is a Loudoun Sketch Club member exhibition that begins in December and runs through the end of February, 2019. 868 Estate Vineyards was one of our sites for plein air painting this past season and they are graciously hosting our show in their lovely tasting room. Please join us for a wine tasting and pastoral art. Open to the public.
The Healing Power of Art and Artists’ ‘Our Bond with Nature’ Online Art Exhibit runs through December 25th. My painting, ‘Transition’, was one of 66 chosen. Here is the link:https://www.healing-power-of-art.org/our-bond-with-nature-exhibition/Scroll down to Awards of Excellence. I am about 9th from the top.
‘Transition’ won an Award of Excellence at The Healing Power of Art and Artists’ Our Bond with Nature Exhibit in November.
‘Ware Hound!’ won Honorable Mention in the Oils category at the Waterford Fair Fine Art Exhibit in October.
‘Zero’ won Best in Show at AIM Gallery’s Moment in Time: An Homage to the World of Film Exhibit in September.
‘Bratislava’ won Juror’s Choice Award at Larkin Art’s Regional Exhibit in February.
‘After the Rain’ won an Award of Excellence at Manhattan Arts International’s New Beginnings Exhibit in January. (This original is not for sale.)
If you would like to purchase some award winning art without the price tag of the original, I have launched a new Poster Collection. Each poster measures 17×22 and is printed with archival, fade resistant ink on acid free 100% cotton rag paper. This means it will last a long, long time. A dark wood frame and acrylic protection make them light weight and ready to hang. $150 each.
Tour Package has been rescheduled!
This zany comedy written and directed by Rich Fink is an adventure gone amiss in the jungle.
